CAB International (Regional Bioscience Centre Pakistan) is looking for Field Facilitators to help implement a donor-funded project on Better Cotton in Haroonabad, District Bahawalnagar, Punjab.
Candidates for Field Facilitator (FF) positions will be asked to apply the Better Cotton Standard System (BCSS) and Good Agricultural Practices.

Key Accountabilities
Prepare a detailed implementation strategy for training farmers on the Better
Cotton Standard System (BCSS) and Good Agricultural Practices (GAPs) for the
cotton crop.
Survey to identify new cotton farmers and update information on existing cotton
growers.
Registration and successful capacity training for farmers and workers on best
practices and the Better Cotton Standard System (BCSS).
Farmers and farm workers (male and female) will be trained on important
criteria for Better Cotton production, Good Agricultural Practices (GAPs), and
record keeping.
Allow farmers/growers to register and develop as producer organizations.
Conduct an internal examination of registered cotton growers. Prepare and submit fortnightly
progress reports to Producer Unit Managers.
Data on seed cotton availability and sales are collected from registered cotton
growers and shared with Producer Unit Managers.
Prepare technical reports for cotton growers.
Collect and verify Result Indicator Data (RI) from farmers and submit it to the
Producer Unit Manager within the time frame specified.
Complete and timely submission of any assignment assigned by the line manager.
Good communication and interpersonal skills, self-motivated, eager team member,
and capable of handling competing priorities.
Education
Bachelor's degree in agriculture, preferably in entomology, plant protection,
agronomy, or crop production.
Experience
Understanding of BCI Production Principles and Criteria.
Strong awareness of cotton production technology and its environmental
implications.
Personal characteristics.
Strong organisational and learning skills.
A team member with strong interpersonal, communication, and networking
abilities;
Comfortable working independently but also receiving suggestions;
Flexible and innovative in planning and problem solutions. Willing to visit remote and tough
regions in Pakistan.

disciplined, and self-organized in order to deliver quality work by the
deadline.
Ability to design work schedules to fulfill agreed-upon deadlines.

ROLE DETAILS
Reporting to: Producer Unit Manager
No. of positions: 50
Contract: 11 months with 3 months probation period. The placement will be made through third-party
contracting firm (United Human Resource Services Pvt. Ltd)
Salary Range: 40,000 PKR (Gross)
Benefits: Health Insurance, Life Insurance, Communication Allowance, Fuel
Allowance, EOBI, paid leaves.
Benefits cost will be
deducted from gross salary.
Location: Haroonabad, District Bahawalnagar. Local candidates will be given preference.
